African American History Month; That’s what it is

It is African American History Month. We also celebrate holidays of other nationalities and ethic groups from all over the world. Fortunately or unfortunately, you can go to the rest of the world and not see such a welcoming to your background.

I have had the pleasure of communicating with French, Germans, Iraqis, Afghani, British and more around the world, outside the safety of my hometown border. This has taught me much in culture and why division is at times necessary. We self divide to improve our own neighborhoods. You would be lying to yourself if you thought the melting pot of NYC was just a random mix of races. We all know who lives where. Flushing, Jamaica, Richmond Hill, Kew Gardens, Sunnyside each have their own class or race identity.

The fact is there will never be peace. Accept that. As an agnostic individual, I will not say your religion is incorrect, but I will say if you believe in your religion, you must know that peace will not occur until after the destruction of the earth as it is today. You must know that You are in fact placing one belief over another when you have been instructed to have agape for one another.

Back to the topic at hand, regardless of the contributions of many foreigners, this is African American History Month. If you believe we should remove the African, so be it. Our history and contributions will never be recognized on foreign land and it is about time we say stateless be damned and accept our country for what it is; our country.

How about the fact we stole it? No country in the world was as it is 2000 years ago. He who wins the wars writes the history. In other words, when you win the war you get to say what the past is. No need to isolate only America as the place that must accept everyone else way of doing things. Clearly, foreigners do not like Blacks. They think the worse of American Blacks. Lazy, thugs, lack of ambition, and enjoy pointing out the ethnicity of accomplished individuals as their own, clearly distancing them from being American.

I beg of you, apply your hard work into your own country. Take your talents, and develop opportunities for yourself. Why come here and complain about the locals not wanting to accept your way of life? No, we don’t want to disrespect you, but you must respect us. Do what you feel, but please do not make it an obligation to patronize your business if we choose not to.

There is nothing wrong with being an American. I am proud to be an American as you should be a proud Jamaican, Muslim, Irish, Chinese, or whatever. Stop crucifying us for loving our country flaws and all. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
